Abstract: | 4-Hydroxy-1H-quinolin-2-ones react with thiocyanogen in acetic acid to give corresponding 3-thiocyanato-1H,3H-quinoline- 2,4-diones in good yields. In some cases, 3-bromo-1H,3H-quinoline-2,4-diones were isolated as minor reaction products. | ||||||||||
